Brett Patterson is an independent singer, songwriter, and performer from Stamford, Texas.
Brett was a devoted, semi-mediocre baseball player when his senior year of high school was permanently postponed at the dawn of COVID in 2020. In the midst of mourning the closing of his baseball career (if we're calling it that), Brett quickly resorted to learning cover songs on the guitar. Maybe it was to impress the girls. Maybe it was to exert that competitive energy. Either way, it didn't take long for Brett to write his first song, "Didn't Know." Then another song. Then another. And then play his first show at Lake Stamford. Then another one out of town. Then another few hundred or so. I guess something good did come out of COVID.
In his time as a performer, Brett has had the opportunity to share the same bill as artists such as Randy Rogers Band, Clay Walker, Rick Trevino, Grady Spencer & The Work, Slade Coulter, Phil Hamilton and several others. While portraying heartfelt songwriting is Brett's priority on stage, he plays covers from several different decades and genres that is sure to "throw every dog a bone." Ain't no shame in playing a cover, as long as you mean it when you sing it.
In his recording career, Brett has released one album, "Life This Way." Since then, he has released three singles, "Unscathed," "Hold The Weight," and "Death Of Me." He is currently in the recording process of his next project. It really won't be long.
When Brett isn't doing the music thing, you can find him spending time with his family, teaching kids at his church, eating Mexican food, relaxing at the lake, cheering on the Texas Rangers, doom-scrolling on Instagram, cracking jokes, or complaining about his college work. Don't let the sad songs fool you. He's got a great life.
Whether you've been along for the ride since day one or you're just hearing of Brett for the first time, he is more than grateful for the love and support. He hopes to see you at a show soon. God bless, and rock on.
